Tom Kenny
Professor Tom Kenny is a teacher, author and broadcaster. He creates content for learners and for fun.
Originally from the greater New York City area, Tom Kenny moved to the Deep South, where he attended university and was awarded degrees in English, history, and linguistics. Tom Kenny's training in the performing arts began at an early age with tap and modern dance, as a choir soloist, a performer in community theater, and as a radio announcer beginning at age sixteen. Tom Kenny worked full-time as a professional announcer for several broadcasting companies in the US before relocating to Japan, where he began his full-time academic career. Over the past ten years, Tom Kenny has published ESL textbook series with Macmillan, Cengage Learning, and Cambridge University Press. He serves as associate professor in the Department of British and American Studies in the Faculty of Foreign Languages at Nagoya University of Foreign Studies in Nagoya, Japan.
